Abusing woman: BJP leader Srikanth Tyagi house bulldozed; Rs.25K reward for arrest - UP Police
The BJP leader Shrikant Tyagi who abused and manhandeled a woman is in deep trouble now. The local politician, who was seen bragging about his position and power, is on a run.
Days after purported Bharatiya Janata Party(BJP) leader Shrikant Tyagi was booked by the Uttar Pradesh police for assaulting a woman after an argument with her inside a housing society in Noida, bulldozers arrived at the site on Monday morning, 8 August, and razed an allegedly illegal construction attached to the residence of the politician.
While Tyagi claims to be a leader in the BJP's Kisan Morcha, the party has denied that he is even a member. The Noida Police has also announced a reward of Rs 25,000 on the arrest of Tyagi, who is currently absconding.
In a viral video, Shrikant Tyagi was caught on camera abusing and manhandeling a woman.
Even the leaders from BJP have called for his arrest. Not only this, one more FIR has been registered on his name for running his car as a UP Government vehicle. A manhunt is underway to nab Shrikant Tyagi.
"We have seized a total of three cars -- one Toyota Fortuner, one Tata Safari and one Honda Civic -- that belong to Tyagi," a Noida Police official told IANS.
To trace his location, the police have detained four persons, including Tyagi`s wife.
